  1. Happy Birthday Cathy W

Happy Birthday Cathy, I hope you have an amazing day!
  2. Ladies, This has been like a knife in my heart and soul. I just see no way out and feel like I had no choice in making this decision. Let me explain, It all comes down to just simply not being able to afford to run the charity any longer. I know there are cheaper sites, I also know there is a social media route. I also need you to realize that HAIN worked extremely hard to be a professional standing charity. I loose 60% of my personal income by next month. HAIN received just maybe if we're lucky 4 months worth of financial donations, meaning only 4 months is paid for. I personally cover the rest of the year for Website fees, hosting plus fees to keep a staff (part of the hosting package) if we do have an issue with our site security etc.. Having a business banking account (which you have to have to be able to accept financial donations) Plus if donations het sent to me I pay to reship. Then domain name fees Filing taxes for a charity fees Business licence for running a charity fees ALL out of my pocket. I really really do not have time not knowledge on doing fundraisers etc..I have to have someone who is knowledgeable in this and knows the laws, but is an active member enough trust has been earned as messing up can destroy HAIN. Running a charity has been the biggest reward of my life, but it can also be harder than others realize. I have had many many people give me ideas over the years and some we have been able to do, others it is just not possible. Do I want HAIN to end, heck no. But see no way to keep our doors open. I want HAINs legacy to be remembered always. However I do want you all to know that if you still wish to give in HAINs name that is fine. We will not be able to offer receipts however. I will leave this with you. I have had the best of friends, family, seen love, compassion, empathy, dedication and support. I hope you know how AWESOME you all are and have been to me personally and I know to hundreds of lives you have touched. HAIN is not about me. YOU are HAIN, YOU are what makes HAIN what it is. Love you all so very much, Mary
  3. You have 2 month's

You have two months to save patterns, archived newsletters or whatever before they are no longer here, I suggest you do all if you wish. Making HAIN no longer does not mean in my private life HAIN will not exist. Means I will still personally at home continue and still send my labels etc..obviously making baby thing's will always be apart of me. I have no interest joining other orgs, it would sting to much. I am going to continue just not a public presence. Anyway my point is there are lots to save. Note the patterns people donated to HAIN are NOT allowed to be shared with other charities or people without personal permission of the person who donated them to us. I still respect the donor of them. I will continue to keep the domain name for a few years so no-one in the near future can use it. To protect the legacy of HAIN and my story and why it was started. It's to confusing to the public eye. Just giving a heads up. Loves
  4. These are adorable!! Thank you so much for honoring Brian.
  5. Good morning

Hello all, I cannot believe it dropped down into the 30s last night. Thank you Lord for heating blankets. In the mountains here they are already getting 16 or more inches of snow. I think it may be a cold winter this year. My puppy is so smart and is doing so good. I love that he is already potty trained when we adopted him. One forgets though puppies get into everything and want to chew. So keeping him busy with toys and chews. He is like a toddler. But we love him. He is ornery though. I knitted some more, then sure enough since the weather changed so drastically so fast here I have a partial flu and chest cold. So put it off for a few days. Finally started a fire finally so our house isn't 30s inside. Cold makes it hard to not only get well but get motivated to knit. N9t complaining though it's better than the 90° weather. How are you all?
  6. Bi-Monthly Adoption for September-October

  8. Hello

Yes a German Shepard. We love this little (well not so little) puppy. He is so smart. Now trying to get him over being car sick . Eeew. Bull mastiffs are huge. I have not been around them much in my life, but I hear they are like big babies. Awe.. ♡ Thank you ♡
  9. ♡ Hello♡

Quiet around here. I hope you are doing good. It's finally the week day so I can slowly get back to normal. Busy weekend and recovery. I am a little disappointed with my newborn session. I wish I had brought my studio lights. It was way to dark so allot of post processing will have to be made. I need to work harder on getting an actual studio. Feels like my life is always is hectic that I never have time to think straight, let alone do something so major. Man oh man. But in order to do sessions the way they should be done I need a good solid place to do them. Winter is coming on and doing them outside here in Oregon is impossible. Anyway I have neglected knitting for a bit. Just to busy this last couple weeks. Poor excuses more likely. I have been exhausted mentally more than anything. My post comes off so negative..sorry about that. Positive note, my kids are healthy ♡. We have a place to live ♡. We are not hungry ♡. We have the LORD ♡. We have one another Priceless!!

  12. Hello to you all

As you see I posted the link to the particular comment from the original New to the forum how to..one of the comments gave a step by step. What is nice is we can share a specific comment without having to post the entire post. I pinned this info to several forums in hopes that it helps for new members or anyone wanting to donate and how to etc.. Just wanted you to know why there are several of the same post. This way no matter what it should be easy to find the info. Not much going on in my personal life. How about you?
