The children's division is here to offer support to children in trauma. Because there are so many different types of trauma and needs we offer many different services. Here are a few things we offer. School Supplies: erasers, paper, markers, crayons, pens, pencils, high light markers, glue, rulers, back packs, calculators, color pencils, folders, binders and more. Also back to school clothing is also needed. Many families cannot afford back to school items they need for their children. Please send "New" still in the original package, and clothes with their tag still attached so we know what size items we are receiving. Sibling Support Bags: a hand made or purchased bag (hand bag or back pack) to give to police departments for children after a car accident, and to siblings who need something to hold after their brother/sister passed away, and other traumatic situations. We may fill the bags with various toys and blankets for the child to hold and keep. Foster Care Bags: these bags may be filled with age appropriate items such as hygiene products, pajama's, games, toys, puzzles, diapers, and other items to give to children taken out of abuse or neglect situations. There have been reports that some of the children that have been taken out of these homes had nothing but a dirty diaper or no clothes. These children need something to call their own and have something to at least get them through; until clothing and other needed supplies are supplied to them through the state programs. Crisis Centers Needs: we believe in the value of human life. We give to crisis centers by offering clothing for young mom's who chose to keep their pregnancy and need clothing to take care of their infant. We may offer blankets, bottles, diapers, hats, booties, outfits and other needed items. Pediatric ICU: Hospitals need clothing, comfort blankets and other items to give to children in the PICU's. Many of the children that come in see hospital settings, it can be very scary and uncomfortable. We want to provide these children with items that can make their hospital long term or short term stays a little more relaxing. We want to offer children toys, clothing, hats, hospital slippers, blankets, throws, and more. When you make your donation please send us this information so we can offer you a receipt at years end.
